Farming minsiter Jim Fitzpatrick has opened community centre costing £1.2million in the East End.

The Poplar and Canning town MP met with residents in Shadwell as he opened the Tarling Community Centre on Martha Street last Friday.

The centre run by Tower Hamlets Community Housing association includes classrooms, a kitchen, under 5s play area, a dividable hall and a garden.
