Holy Cow! Real ale pouring into East End from round the world

REAL ale enthusiasts are getting a taste of 45 beers from across the world during a 19-day booze festival at two pubs in London's East End.

British ales include Long Holy Cow, as well as Spinning Dog, Boss Hogg, Eared Owl, Banana Bread, Red Torpedo, Gathering Storm, Iron Lady and Scarecrow. Other beers come from New Zealand, America, Japan, Czech Republic, Poland and Belgium.

The festival runs from October 28 until November 15 at Mile End's Half Moon Theatre in Mile End Road and at Bow's Matchmaker in Roman Road, with all beers £1.49 to £1.69 a pint.
