'Chocol-art' by Beatles artist Sir Peter Blake on show in Spitalfields gallery

A CHOCOLATE artwork by Sergeant Pepper artist Sir Peter Blake was unveiled at a bartering exhibition last night.

The giant heart-shaped work, made of bars of Green and Black's chocolate and created by the artist most famous for the iconic Beatles album cover, was unveiled at the launch of the Art Barter exhibition at the Rag Factory gallery in Heneage Street, off Brick Lane.

The Art Barter event revolves around the idea that artwork will be acquired by people through alternative means to money - participants can exchange anything except money.

Work by Tracey Emin and Gavin Turk are also on display at te exhibition which runs until Sunday.
