'No go': What about Stepney's Clichy housing estate?

Dear Editor,

SO THERE "aren't any Muslim 'no go' areas" in the East End (Civic leaders hit back at claims of 'no go' Muslim areas, Advertiser website).

Then what was happening on Stepney's Clichy housing estate when John Payne was set about by a mob of 30 Asians, screaming racial abuse at him and his friends for daring to be white and being on their estate?

The mob wielded machetes and John was nearly killed. He has been left disabled for life.

The Old Bailey judge was in no doubt that this was a racist attack.
