Hackney & Leyton League: Wounded Knee knocked out of London Cup

Brave Wounded Knee went out of the London FA Junior Cup at the third round stage after losing 3-2 to Camden side Red Star.

The Hackney & Leyton Division One outfit led 2-0 thanks to strikes from Jason Reid and Darly Lynch, but with 20 minutes left, Red Star scored three times to progress to round four.

FC Metwin were again in outstanding form as they hammered OKJH 9-1 in the Albert Daniels Cup Qualifying Round.

OKJH took the lead through Anthony White, but in-form front pair Nathan Scarborough and James Smith each hit four goals, while James Purcell also found the net, in what was a thumping win.

In the Jack Morgan Cup First Round, goals from Adam Carpenter and Dave Hennessay were not enough for Delta as they lost 6-2 to AC Islington.

Bow Young prince defeated Eastway Olympia 3-2 thanks to a Mark Lee double and a Ben Wooles strike, with Connor replying for Eastway.

FC Storm powered to victory over Shoreditch Fire Penguins 3-0 with goals from Maksin Volosim, Konstantin Smal and Obeo Bactyh.

Hare & Hounds defeated Regents Park 10-0 as Bradley O'Donovan hit a hat-trick, while doubles from Dwayne Haron, Richardo Gaffe and goals from Gideo Bello, Luke Marson and Josh Stelling rubbed salt in Rovers' wounds.

In a thrilling contest, East London edged out Jay Cubed 4-3 thanks to strikes from Eric Alwiray, Marc McLean and a Jey Ade-buyi double. Simon Fewer scored twice and George Johnson once in reply for Jay.

Midfield came back from 3-0 down against Athletico Angels to draw level and take the game into extra time, where Midfield scored a dramatic winner.

Andrew Brockbank scored twice and Ashley Green once for Angels, while a Luke Trimm double, plus goals from John Nolan and Daniel Pigott replied for Midfield.

Hackney Borough defeated Baris Spor 5-0, as Shane Trim, Kieran Harris, Alfie Greenway and a Marlon Marriott-Dixon double were all on the scoresheet.

An own goal and a Dean Da Costa strike earned Division Three side Hoxton Foxes a shock win over Division Two's Lockers 2-1, for whom Jason Rooney found the net.

Jamie Curtis scored two, while Sean Alexander, Mark Christodoulou and Terry Fogarty all scored as Royal Oak beat Lammas 5-2, whose scorers were Andrew Compton and Eugene Appiah.

Walthamstow Village and Comet played out a highly entertaining 4-4 draw, with Comet going through after winning 5-4 on penalties.

Tottenham Phoenix hammered Maynell 7-1 thanks to four goals from Jeromine Anglin, plus strikes from Menalick Richards, Dean Aikens and Kaivery Thompson, while Altay Baskall replied for Maynall.

Wenlock Arms beat Alpha Grove 5-3 as Ricky Hanmore hit a treble while Karl O'Flaherty and Tashan Findlay also found the net.

Big Kahuna beat Florist Arms 3-0 thanks to a Tom Rafferty double and a Tom Hughes goal.

Cock Tavern defeated Mustard 6-4 with Darly Barclay hitting four, while D Vale and A Kazz also got their names on the scoresheet, while George Green, Claudio Narcisson, Harry Jones and John Green replied for Mustard.

In the Hackney & Leyton Premier League Albion manor pulled off a surprise victory over league leaders Lapton.

Manor goalkeeper Steve Armstrong saved a spot-kick in the first five minutes, while John Claire scored in the second half to seal an impressive win.

Clapton Rangers could not take full advantage of Lapton's slip-up as they drew 1-1 with Black Meteors. Frank Amankina scored for Meteors, while Kareem Imbert replied for Clapton.

Emmanuel Pappoe gave Irawo Reds the lead against Three Compasses before Lee Brown equalised.

In Division One, goals by Jack Hicks, Andrew Jules and James Morris earned Mile End a 3-0 win over leaders Adam & Eve.

Gascoyne beat Vio Romania 2-0 with goals from Ryan Merry and Michael O'Donoghue, while Lancresse and Old George played a goalless draw.
