Marcus Bean makes his Jamaica debut against Honduras
Brentford midfielder Marcus Bean made his Jamaica debut last night against Honduras.
The Reggae Boyz lost 2-1 to record their fifth straight defeat with Bean coming off the bench with 15 minutes to go.
“Honoured to gain my first cap played last 15 mins lost 2-1 gutted. but lots of positives to take from game against a good Honduras team,” The 26-year-old tweeted after the game.
The midfielder has made 120 league appearances for the Bees, scoring 13 goals with nine coming as Brentford surged to the League Two title in 2008/09.
Bean and Northern Ireland international Niall McGinn, who came on in their 3-0 loss to Italy, are available for Brentford’s match with Scunthorpe on Saturday.
