Interim boss Wayne Burnett praised his Daggers side for their battling performance in the goalless draw with Barnet today.

It was a game where very few goalscoring chances were created on a difficult Underhill pitch but Burnett felt his team carried out their game plan perfectly.

“The boys were fantastic today, they worked incredibly hard individually and collectively.

“It wasn’t the greatest game but overall you’ve got to be happy with a point away from home. If you can get points from them you are always delighted.

“What we set out to do today worked perfectly. We have limited them to one shot in the first half and we came out second half and I think for large periods we were camped in their half.”

Burnett chose to give debuts to loanee goalkeeper Jonathan Miles and winger Toni Silva and they both enjoyed a solid debut.

The Daggers chief was pleased with both, while also enjoyed the cameo performance from QPR youngster Mo Sharif off the bench.

“Toni’s not played real competitive football for quite a while,” added Burnett.

“We all know he is a talent and we were starting with two people that were making their debut, the goalkeeper and Silva.

“I think the goalkeeper looked very competent and like Silva may have run out of petrol towards the end so we bought on the boy Sharif who I thought was fantastic.”
