Transfer news: Zenit St Petersburg are rivalling Chelsea for Porto striker Hulk
Porto have rejected claims that Zenit St Petersburg have bid for long-term Chelsea target Hulk.
The Brazil star, who will compete for Olympic gold with his country at Wembley today, has previously said he would be interested in joining Chelsea, but Zenit were rumoured to be launching a huge bid to take the striker to Russia.
However, Porto president Nuno Pinto da Costa insists there has been no offer from Zenit for the 26-year-old.
“I’ve spoken with Zenit many times, but not about Hulk,” Da Costa told Globo Esporte.
“A deal will only happen if it is in the interest of Porto and the player, and so far these is nothing to make me think that is going to happen.
“I hope this season Hulk will still be a Porto player,” he added.
Daniel Levy has vowed to retain Tottenham’s best players and invest in new signings this summer.
