Slaven Bilic insists that Luka Modric is better than Andrea Pirlo

Croatia boss Slaven Bilic believes that Luka Modric is even better than Italy star Andrea Pirlo.

The duo will go head to head at Euro 2012 tomorrow in what promises to be an exciting match with Croatia having the chance of qualifying with the victory.

“Pirlo is a real playmaker, just like Modric for us. They are two genuine pillars of the midfield, as if they are playing well, then the whole team plays well.

“Pirlo is Italy’s most important player, so we must put pressure on him. However, Modric is perhaps even better...”
