Rafael van der Vaart believes that Holland still have a chance of progressing at Euro 2012

Tottenham star Rafael van der Vaart is refusing to write off Holland’s chances of progression at Euro 2012 despite their 2-1 defeat to Germany leaving them on the brink of an early exit.

The Dutch have to beat Portugal by two goals and hope that Germany picks up all three points against Denmark to progress.

“We have still a chance when we win 2-0 and Germany helps us,” Van der Vaart told ZDF. “We simply have to believe in our chance.”
