Tottenham transfer news: Vedran Corluka wants to stay at Bayer Leverkusen
Tottenham full back Vedran Corluka has admitted that he would like to remain at Bayer Leverkusen following the completion of his loan spell at the end of the season.
The Croatian left White Hart Lane in January after losing his starting spot to Kyle Walker.
Corluka is set to return to Spurs at the end of the current campaign, but says he is settled in Germany.
“I would like to stay, because it’s a good club, I made a lot of friends here, I like the league as well, so why not?” He told Goal.com.
“I think it is not in my hands, as I’m still a Tottenham Hotspur player, so we’ll see what will happen, because Tottenham is a good club as well.
“Both options are very good for me, but who knows? Probably I’ll end up playing for another club – you never know.”
Tottenham head coach Andre Villas-Boas is keen to build his team around Gareth Bale next season, and stressed that significant investment was required in order to bridge the small gap between themselves and Arsenal.
