League Two: Chesterfield 2 AFC Wimbledon 0
AFC Wimbledon’s chances of League Two survival took another blow as two second half goals stretched their winless run to five games.
Armand Gnanduillet opened the scoring from the edge of the area on 59 minutes and veteran striker Jack Lester confirmed another defeat for the Dons by doubling the hosts’ lead with seven minutes remaining.
It was Wimbledon’s second straight defeat withouth scoring, after losing 3-0 to league leaders Port Vale, and manager Neal Ardley must now pick his side up for the visit of Capital One Cup finalist Bradford City next weekend.
Daniel Levy has vowed to retain Tottenham’s best players and invest in new signings this summer.
