Motorists heading southbound towards the Blackwall Tunnel face heavy delays this morning following a crash involving a lorry and a car.

Police were called to the A12 Blackwall Tunnel Northern Approach at 7.17 to reports of a collision between a white Ford Fiesta and a lorry at the junction with Devas Street.

Two lanes are currently blocked with queues extending back towards the A406.

Drivers are urged to seek alternative routes.
