The main A13 has been blocked westbound in east London this-morning after a road accident involving a motorcyclist.

The rider swerved to avoid another vehicle and came off his machine between Limehouse and Stepney, at the traffic lights with Butcher Row near the turn-off to the Rotherhithe Tunnel.

He was treated at the scene by an ambulance crew at 7.45am, but the man in his 30s was not thought to be seriously hurt. No other vehicle was involved. The eastbound side of Commercial Road was reduced to a single lane.
