Appeal in search for vulnerable woman missing from Bethnal Green

Police are appealing for help to find a vulnerable woman who is missing from her home in east London.

Alison Whittaker, 52, was last seen more than a week ago at her home close to Chombard Street, in Bethnal Green.

Alison, who is vulnerable and has learning difficulties, is 5ft 6ins tall, described as large build, with short blonde hair in a bob-style and speaks with a strong Glaswegian accent.

She was wearing a black overcoat, blue and white striped top and black leggings when she was last seen at 6pm on February 16.

Her family and police are concerned for her welfare and are appealing for anyone who has seen her or may know her whereabouts to contact Tower Hamlets officers, dialling 101.
