All eyes will be on George Osborne later today when he outlines the final Budget before May’s General Election.

Although little is certain until his sixth Budget Day speech gets underway at 12.30pm, the Chancellor has promised a series of announcements with “no giveaways” or “gimmicks”.

The tax on savings income is likely to be slashed to target high-end earners only, while wide-ranging pension reforms are set to continue.

Ultra-fast broadband is expected to be announced across the country, while a cut in beer duty and fuel duty freeze could also revealed.

The new tails side of £1 coins will be revealed, showcasing the four plants associated with the four nations of the UK.

Designed by 15-year-old competition winner David Pearce, the new 12-sided coin will enter circulation in 2017 featuring a rose, leek, thistle and shamrock.

Last year’s budget saw the Chancellor outline a range of measures including the raising of tax-free personal allowance to £10,500 and the cutting of beer duty by 1p per pint.

Check back throughout the day to learn how the Budget will affect you.
