A group of men sexually assaulted a female as she walked through a park in Limehouse before carrying out a second sex attack on a woman who came to her aid.

Detectives are appealing today for information following the two sexual assaults in Brickfield Gardens, adjacent to Copenhagen Place.

The first victim was walking through the park when around eight men tried to engage in conversation with her before sexually assaulting her as she walked away.

The second victim, who had witnessed the incident, was sexually assaulted by the men when she intervened.

The suspects are describes as Asian men.

Anyone with information about the attacks, which took place on December 12 at around 6.35pm, should call Tower Hamlets CID on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
