Man suffers head injuries in Poplar street fight

A man has suffered head injuries in a street fight in Poplar last night.

Police were called to reports of a fight involving two men in Chrisp Street at around 11.40pm.

The victim, who is in his 20s, was found injured in nearby Woodstock Terrace and was taken to hospital.

His injuries are not life-threatening.

Police are investigating and are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with information to call 101 quoting reference 8756/2OCT or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
