A woman was sexually assaulted by a man after meeting him in Shoreditch nightclub Cargo.

Police have now released an image of a clubgoer they would like to speak to over the incident – a picture taken from the ID card he used to get in.

The victim, in her early 20s, met a man inside the Rivington Street venue and went back to his home in north London, where she was attacked.

The man used the name Fahad Akbar. He is described as 5ft 9in and bald and told the victim he was of mixed Pakistani/Lebanese origin.

Anyone who recognises the man or who has information can contact detectives on 020 8721 4609 or contact police via Twitter @MetCC
