A teenager from Stepney has been charged with carrying out a suspected acid attack in Mile End earlier this month.

Mustafa Ahmed, 19, of Musberry Street, is accused of carrying out the attack on a woman in her late thirties and a man in his mid-twenties in Burdett Road.

The victims had a ‘corrosive substance’ thrown on them on July 4 just after 2am.

He will appear before Thames Magistrates’ Court tomorrow.
