A man from east London was arrested on suspicion of terror offences in a dawn raid this morning.

The 23-year-old suspect was seized at 1.45am at an unknown address.

It is believed that he collected “information or documents contrary to section 58 of the Terrorism Act 2000”.

Detectives also began searching another east London address, also unknown, at 10.15pm yesterday, and are still there.

Scotland Yard said that the arrest and investigation are not connected to the London Bridge terrorist attack.
