Commuters on the District and Jubilee lines are set to face disruption and delays if a planned strike goes ahead next week.

Rail operators on both lines are set to walk out on Wednesday in separate disputes.

This would see no service at all on the Jubilee line, while the District line would operate with delays throughout the day.

There will be a regular service between Tower Hill and Gloucester Road, with trains operating less frequently either side of these stations.

All other Tube lines will operate as normal but may be busier, and passengers are advised to allow more time to complete journeys.

The District line strike is based around the reassignment of a driver, who had experienced three separate safety incidents in 11 weeks, to a station staff role. It involves members of the ASLEF union based at the Acton Town deopt.

The Jubilee line strike, meanwhile, invlves both RMT and ASLEF members and relates to a new timetable that boosts train capacity and frequency in peak hours.

Transport for London has encouraged customers to visit tfl.gov.uk/tube-strike for the latest information, as well as checking the @TfLTravelAlerts Twitter account.
