Like many four-year-olds, Leyana Baltaji loves to dance - and dreamed of dancing with a real ballerina.

Now a special ballet workshop at Richard House Children’s Hospice has helped her dream come true.

Leyana, from Bow, has been attending the Beckton hospice since she was diagnosed with Jeune syndrome - a rare disease that affects her vital organs - as a baby.

Her dad Luay said: “Leyana loves going to Richard House. She so enjoys the activities like the ballet workshop.

“Ballet is her passion and to dance with a real ballerina was a dream come true for Leyana.”

The tot dressed up in her tutu and ballet shoes to perform alongside the dancer - with the hospice capturing the moment on film for her family to treasure.

Mum Lubna said that the day had “given Leyana a huge amount of confidence” and that the youngster had been thrilled to watch herself on screen.
