Police issue CCTV of two suspects in Wapping burglary

Police have released CCTV footage of two suspects they wish to identify and speak to in connection with a commercial burglary.

Police were called on Tuesday, September 13, at around 12.20pm, to reports of a motorbike stolen from an underground car park in Cinnabar Wharf Central, in Wapping High Street.

The footage, captured at 7.00am on Saturday, September 10, shows the moment two suspects on a moped drove into the car park and broke the lock of a Suzuki DI650 motorbike before making off with the vehicle on foot.

The first suspect is described as white and wearing a black helmet, dark blue jumper, light jeans and black shoes.

Suspect two is also described as white and wearing a black and grey motorbike helmet, a dark blue jumper with a white logo on the front, dark blue trousers and trainers.

Pc Ryan Smith, the officer working on the case for Tower Hamlets CID, said: “We are keen to hear from anyone who may recognise those shown in the footage or the still released, or anyone who witnessed the theft.”

At this time there have been no arrests and enquiries continue.

Anyone who can assist the police with the operation is asked to call Tower Hamlets CID on 101.
