The Moody’s Foundation hosted a community service activity at Look Ahead’s Tower Hamlets Resource Centre to help local people improve their employability skills.

The event was co-hosted with the East London Business Alliance (ELBA), its charity partner, and was part of Moody’s Afternoon of Service programme, which offers employees the chance to take time out of their day to work alongside their colleagues on team-based projects with local non-profit organisations.

Ten volunteers from Moody’s Commercial and Regulatory Organisation teams spent the afternoon at Look Ahead’s Tower Hamlets Resource Centre, working closely with 15 Look Ahead customers to help them improve their CVs and feel more confident during job interviews.

Organised by ELBA’s Employment and Community Works teams, the employability training session was aimed at local people who may have experienced homelessness or face a variety of barriers to employment.

Jo Walker from Look Ahead said: “The session generated a lot of interest amongst our customers, and those that participated gave really positive feedback.

“Many have already approached me to find out when the next event is.”
