Dear Editor,

THE Bancroft Archives and Local History Library at Mile End should stay were it is-in Bancroft Road! (Crunch decision over Bancroft postponed to September, East London Advertiser website)

It is a part of our local history and is quiet central for buses and the London Underground for those who do not live in the area, but still want to come back and look at the East End's history and look up their family roots.

Leave it alone. There is not much left of London's old East End.
