The Beat Wall, off White Post Lane, celebrates the launch of Coca Cola’s Move to the Beat campaign and Anywhere in the World, a song recorded by the two popstars for the 2012 sponsor.

“Move to the Beat is all about getting teens excited about London 2012 by tapping into their passion for music and fusing it with sport,” said Mark, who has enjoyed chart success with Valerie, featuring Amy Winehouse, Stop Me and Bang Bang Bang.

The artwork, which is 25 metres by 10 metres, has been created by photorealist street artists Neil Edward, Hadley Ever and Smug as a visual translation of the track.

Neil said: “It would be nice to inspire people, especially in an arty area like Hackney Wick where a lot of people have issues with corporate infiltration. This shows them that we have tried to do something positive that is in keeping with the current surroundings.”
