Memorabilia from the London Olympics, ranging from Tom Daley’s Union Jack swimming trunks to the Mary Poppins dress from the opening ceremony, have gone on display.

The free exhibition was launched at the The Museum of London last Thursday (March 28) - exactly 200 days since the Paralympic closing ceremony.

Around 70 objects from sports outfits to clothes and accessories from the Olympic Opening ceremony are included —such as an NHS nurse’s uniform and the dramatic punk heads and a Mohawk headdress from the Paralympic Opening ceremony.

The display will also carry personal accounts of the Games, alongside reactions from local people and demonstrations leading up to the Games, aimed at generating a fuller picture of the London Games and its defining moments.

The yellow jersey worn by Bradley Wiggins during the opening ceremony and an Olympic torch from the Olympic flame relay will also be displayed.

The display will run until October 31.
