Police identify cyclist killed in London road crash

The victim of a fatal road traffic collision in Holborn last week has been formally identified as Wan-Chen McGuiness of Martel Street Hackney. Police are appealing for witnesses following the death of the 31-year-old cyclist in Holborn on 24th September.

The victim of a fatal road traffic collision in Holborn last week has been formally identified as Wan-Chen McGuiness of Martel Street Hackney.

Police are appealing for witnesses following the death of the 31-year-old cyclist in Holborn on 24th September.

The cyclist died in an accident with a lorry.Ahe was later identified as was Wan-Chen McGuiness, a Taiwanese National who was married and lived in Hackney.

A post mortem took place at St Pancras Mortuary and the cause of death was established as multiple injuries

DS Dave Hindmarsh from the Euston Collision Investigation Unit leads the investigation said: "I am appealing for anyone who witnessed this collision to contact our investigation team. Southampton Row, which is near Holborn tube station, is a busy thoroughfare and even at this time of the morning would have been busy with people. If you saw anything that you think may help our inquiry, please call our incident room on 0207 388 6806.
