RESPECT party officials are set to spell out the party's future at a press conference in Shadwell this afternoon.

Following heavy defeats for the party in last week's elections, chairman Azmal Hussain resigned, saying Respect was 'over.'

He added: "If anyone wants to continue, let them."

A spokesman for Respect said: "We intend to stick around."

The press conference is slated for 1pm today.
