Limber up for a one-day free event of activities focused on improving the body and mind.

Be Mindful #BeActive is a chance for community members from Newham, Tower Hamlets, Hackney and Waltham Forest to try yoga, boccia, mindful rambling and cycling.

Part of the European Week of Sport, it starts at 11am on Monday, September 25 from Timber Lodge, Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, Stratford.

Organisers hope the day will shine a light on the positive impact of physical activity on general wellbeing. People of all fitness levels are welcome.

A “mindful walk” to Timber Lodge will also take place at 11am and 11.15am from the park’s information point.

Suitable clothing and footwear is advised. Event runs until 3pm.

Food can be purchased from the Timber Lodge Café or participants can bring a packed lunch.
