A woman was arrested on Saturday after a car overturned in Stepney Green.

Officers called to the scene at 8.42am arrested the 20-year-old on a series of offences: suspected theft of a motor vehicle, driving with no insurance, driving otherwise in accordance with a license, failing to provide a breath test, driving whilst unfit and providing a false name to a police officer.

The woman was treated in hospital for minor injuries and then taken to an east London police station, where she was later released under investigation.

No other injuries were reported.
