Lansbury duo Callaghan and Uddin reach Development finals

The young pair, who train at the Chrisp Street club, enjoyed success last weekend

Lansbury Amateur Boxing Club were celebrating last weekend after two fighters qualified for the England Development Championships finals.

Maisie Callaghan and Rahat Uddin were both in action for the east London club and triumphed to set up a spot in the finals this Saturday.

Uddin was up against Ashley Harding, from the Army, and in a good, hard contest it was the Lansbury ace who was victories on a points decision.

Callaghan did battle with a fighter from Riverside ABC in south London and triumphed following a great second-round stoppage.

The winning results last time out have booked the youngsters a spot in Saturday’s finals in Oxford where they will now aim to finish the job

Lansbury ABC, a Poplar-based club, are situated in Chrisp Street and are keen to take on more local boxers with all ages welcome.

Since reopening again in 2008, Lansbury ABC, thanks to head coach Adam Spelling, have developed and improved various talented youngsters.
