On-loan Dagenham & Redbridge defender Kevin Lokko wants his side to put together a full 90 minutes of hard-work as they face Wrexham this weekend.

The Daggers will host the fifth place National League outfit at Victoria Road on Saturday (3pm kick-off) and will be hoping to snap their four game winless run.

John Still’s men have failed to win their last two league matches and fell short with a 1-0 defeat in their FA Cup replay clash with Leyton Orient despite a late fight back on Tuesday evening.

“We just need to keep working hard and hopefully our form will turn,” Lokko said.

“We can’t keep ending the games strong and not starting them strong, we need to take that second-half and go straight into the Wrexham how we finished the (Orient) game.

“If we do that we’ll have no problems against any team in this league.

“It’s just making sure everyone is up for it from the first minute and we continue right the way until the end, instead of half and half.”

Lokko, who left Maidstone in the summer to join Stevenage, before being loaned to Daggers believes it will be another tough game and they’ll have to work hard for the three points.

“Every time I’ve played against them, they’ve been decent,” he said.

“They tend to be up there most of the time and I think they’re doing well again this season, so it will be a tough one like every game is this year, but we just have to knuckle down and make sure we do the right things, prepare well and we’ll have a good chance.”

Still changed formation for the cup tie with the O’s, using a 5-3-2 to start both the matches, but ended up reverting to a 4-4-2 in the second-half on Tuesday evening’s defeat.

But the defender believes the back line adapted to the change and believes it’s another option the side can now use in matches.

“I think we’ve got the tactical side of it very well, it’s just knowing when to go out wide personally as a centre back and when to stay inside, but in general I think Saturday worked really well with that formation, but not so great in the first-half (on Tuesday).

“It’s an option we can go to, but we just need to work hard and when we’re in training make sure we’re at our best and give 100 per cent.”
