FA Cup: Dagenham & Redbridge or Leyton Orient to visit Gillingham in first round

The winner of the replay between Dagenham & Redbridge and Leyton Orient will visit League One side Gillingham in the first round of the FA Cup after the draw was made on Monday evening.

Daggers and O’s meet a Brisbane Road on Tuesday night after Saturday’s initial game at Victoria Road ended in a goalless draw.

Both sides will go into that tie knowing victory will secure a trip to Priesftield, with the tie take place over the weekend of November 3-6.

Should Daggers progress to the first round, they will hope to better their recent record against the Gills, having lost their last two games against the Kent side.

Leyton Orient have a similarly poor recent record against Gillingham, having lost each of their last three meetings in all competitions.

Winners of ties in the first round will pocket £18,000 in prize money, with Daggers and O’s also hoping to pick up the £12,500 for winning the replay first.
