Ryan Hedges believes Leyton Orient can keep up their impressive form on the road when they take on Peterborough United at London Road tomorrow.

The Welsh under-21 international has played a part in O’s recent revival as they look to move away from the relegation places in League One.

League leaders Bristol City defeated Fabio Liverani’s team 3-1 on Tuesday night to halt Orient’s two-match winning streak, but Hedges is confident they can get back on form this weekend.

The on-loan Swansea ace has started the last three matches and is keen to help the Brisbane Road outfit achieve a positive result at Posh.

“Obviously we beat Chesterfield away in the last minute and we won at Walsall so we have done well on the road this season,” said Hedges.

“We did a bit of analysis on Peterborough on Thursday so we have worked on that and hopefully it can pay off.

“They have achieved victories in their last two matches so they will be confident and it will be a tough game, but our confidence is high.

“We have won three matches out of five so hopefully it will be four out of six after this weekend.”

Hedges inspired O’s to one of their latest successes – scoring the opener and providing an assist for Chris Dagnall in the 2-0 triumph at Walsall last Saturday.

It was the first professional goal of his career and the Welshmen admitted it was a “really good feeling” to find the net for the first time in the league.

He is now hoping to earn another start at London Road and continue helping the club move away from the bottom four.

“I am really enjoying my time here and it is good that it has been extended until the end of the season,” added Hedges.

“Starting recently has given me massive confidence and I have to thank Fabio for giving me my debut and more opportunities.

“When I first came here confidence wasn’t at its highest, but determination from the whole team, including the staff and the fans, has helped us improve that.

“Now I am here until the end of the season I would like to get as many starts as possible. It wouldn’t be bad to get another goal and an assist this weekend, but I don’t mind who gets the goals and assists as long as we win.

“Everyone is playing for something at this stage of the season and the league is so tight at the moment, but we have got just to concentrate on ourselves.”
