League Two club will visit Sheffield United while John Still’s team are at home to Halifax Town

Local rivals Leyton Orient and Dagenham & Redbridge discovered who they would face in the first round of the FA Cup this evening.

Ilford-born Paul Ince and ex-West Ham United goalkeeper David James did the draw live on BBC Two.

The O’s were among the first two teams out of the hat and have been given a tough away clash at Sheffield United.

Both clubs have had numerous battles in League One in recent years, but haven’t played each other since April 25 of last year following Orient’s relegation.

United will be favourites for the clash, although Alberto Cavasin will be looking forward to the tie – his first in English football.

Last season Orient reached the second round before going out to Scunthorpe United after a replay.

Daggers meanwhile will be at home to National League North outfit Halifax Town after beating Wealdstone 3-1 on Saturday.

Ince picked out the Victoria Road club and said ‘Come on Dagenham’ after handing them a home tie.

Still’s men will be pleased with the draw up against a side in the division below themselves.

Last season they reached the third round and were given a trip to Premier League outfit Everton.

Both Dagenham and Orient’s matches will take place on the weekend of November 5 although those dates are subject to change.
