Dagenham & Redbridge host Aldershot Town in the National League on Saturday, looking to end a difficult week on a high.

John Still’s Daggers saw last week’s trip to Halifax Town called off at short notice, and also had three key players depart during the week.

West Ham United, meanwhile, welcome Watford for a Premier League encounter on Saturday, when new Hammers man Patrice Evra will hope to make his debut.

Last time out, David Moyes’ team suffered a disappointing 3-1 loss on the coast at Brighton & Hove Albion, when chants of ‘sack the board’ were sung.

And Leyton Orient return to National League action when they entertain promotion hopefuls Tranmere Rovers.

The O’s beat Dover Athletic last Saturday to reach the FA Trophy quarter-finals, a game they won 4-3 despite having earlier squandered a three-goal lead.

All this, plus the latest non-league news, is discussed on this week’s East London Football podcast.

Matt Withers is joined by Ned Keating, Dave Evans and George Sessions to digest another week in east London football.
