Leyton Orient look to end their wretched run of form in the National League when they make the trip to Barrow on Saturday.

Defeats at home to AFC Fylde and at Tranmere Rovers over the past week have seen O’s make it six games without a win, with the pressure increasing head coach Steve Davis.

After a decent start in August, Orient endured a terrible September – a tale which sounds scarily familiar to last season.

Divisional rivals Dagenham & Redbridge, meanwhile, will hope they don’t need any late heroics to win at surprise package Woking, known as the Cards, on Saturday.

A stoppage-time penalty saw Daggers beat bottom club Torquay United at home last weekend, with Sam Ling netting an 86th-minute equaliser at Aldershot Town on Tuesday.

West Ham United, meanwhile, put their feet up on Saturday with the international break in full swing.

Like Daggers, the Hammers also needed late heroics to overcome Swansea City in the Premier League to earn a 1-0 win which surely eased the pressure on manager Slaven Bilic.

All this, and more, is discussed on this week’s East London Football podcast, with host Ned Keating joined by Archant’s George Sessions, Jacob Ranson and Matt Clemenson.
