Everything is in place, the players are all ready and we will kick off our Women’s Super League campaign against Reading at Rush Green tonight (Wednesday).

These are exciting times for us and it is going to be a massive day for the women’s team as playing against the top clubs in the country is what we are here for.

We have had some good results in the League Cup so far, beating Lewes and Millwall Lionesses 4-0 on Sunday, as well as giving Arsenal a good game, and I have to say the team is really beginning to gel.

Like the men’s team, we have brought a lot of new players in, but we have kept Rosie Kmita from last season and she has been really helpful in getting the new players to feel at home.

My little tip to do well is Leanne Kiernan. She is so fast and our coach Matt Beard has built his team around speed and hopefully we are going to see some exciting football from her and the rest of the team.

Reading will provide us with tough opposition – they won their first match 4-0 – before we go to Arsenal on Sunday afternoon, so it will not be easy, but these are the sort of teams we are excited about playing.

We had 600 fans at the game against Millwall Lionesses on Sunday and we are hoping that climbs during the season as the word gets around.

We think people will be impressed by the football we have to offer and with season tickets the cheapest in the league at just £15 and a family attending for just £25, it really is worth supporting us.

So what are we targeting this season? My dad always says you go into each competition looking to win it.

We should hopefully go through the group stages of the Continental Cup, while if we can finish in the top half of the league that will be an achievement, but you never know what will happen.

We are all excited about the season to come and we would like as many people as possible to come down and share it with us.

West Ham Women v Reading is a 7.45pm kick-off
