DARREN RANDOLPH 9 (man of the match)

His superb save from a clean through Rashford was a pivotal moment in the game and he made more excellent saves in the second half. Earned the man of the match plaudits.

Made a superb interception as Ibrahimovic went through and was generally in control of the defence in the absence of Reid. An excellent display.

JAMES COLLINS 5

Lost Ibrahimovic for the goal and though he had his good moments, he generally found life tough in defence against a strong United attack.

ANGELO OGBONNA 8

Continued his fine run of form as he thrives in the three-man central defensive formation. No-nonsense defending and good in the air.

MICHAIL ANTONIO 8

Got forward so many times, beating defenders and getting into the box as often as he could. Had the measure of his marker on the right wing, but his crosses were off target again.

AARON CRESSWELL 7

Could not get forward as much as he would have liked, but did provide a welcome outlet for the midfielders to find him. Got stuck in defending and there was plenty of attacking down his wing.

MARK NOBLE 5

Whether it was his week off that put him off his game, but this was a poor display by the skipper. Lost the ball in the tackle too often and also with wayward passes that put the team under unnecessary pressure.

PEDRO OBIANG 9

Yet again he proved what an invaluable player he is for West Ham. Countless times he won the ball or broke down United attacks and he is improving his range of passes with the more games he plays.

MANUEL LANZINI 7

Darted around the pitch and got into the opposition box to cause problems and though not everything he tried came off, he was still worth his place in the starting line-up.

DIMITRI PAYET 7

Not at his best, but certainly looked interested as he got himself forward and into dangerous positions. It was his free kick which led to the West Ham goal.

DIAFRA SAKHO 8

Great to see him score. The first goal by a West Ham striker all season. Worked really hard, held the ball well and gives the team a different dimension. Hopefully his injury is not serious.

SUBSTITUTES

ASHLEY FLETCHER (for Sakho, 66) 7

Preferred to Zaza and rightly so. Made an impression from the word go and only denied a first goal by the legs of De Gea. Impressive.

ANDRE AYEW (for Lanzini, 74) 7

Got stuck in and played his part as West Ham looked for a winner, having one effort that went wide.
