Essex Senior League: Woodford Town 0 Tower Hamlets 0

Woodford Town and Tower Hamlets played out a goalless draw in the Essex Senior League on Tuesday night.

After both clubs had won last weekend, this time they had to settle for just a point at the Harlow Arena.

The Woods were in the ascendancy for a large part of the game and could have taken the lead in the first half when they were awarded a penalty.

Temi Babalola’s saw his effort from 12-yards saved by Hamlets goalkeeper Jordan Stansbury, however, on what was a good night for the youngster.

The away custodian made a string of saves to prevent the hosts opening the scoring and claiming all three points.

After recent wins over Sporting Bengal United and Redbridge, Dee Safer’s men had to be content with a draw this time.

While Tower Hamlets could reflect on a good night and that is now back-to-back clean sheets for them.
