The latest news from the Thomas McCurtains GAA club

The Thomas McCurtains hurling team return to action this weekend when they host Robert Emmetts B in the Intermediate League.

After enjoying their winter off, the Goodmayes club will hope to hit the ground running and get their league campaign off to a flying start on Sunday, with a 12.30pm start.

The men’s footballers are also in action this weekend as they entertain Eire Og in the McArdle Cup, with a 3.30pm kick-off on Saturday.

Ahead of this weekend’s matches, McCurtains held its annual ‘clean up’ event, with members helping to tidy their Goodmayes Hospital Sports Ground base.

Members swept the pitch and also put the footings in for new training goals, with the posts to be erected in the coming weeks.

New players are always welcome to join the club, with Gaelic football and hurling teams for both men and ladies from under-eights up to adults.

For more information, find the club on Facebook and Twitter, or alternatively email thomasmccurtains@hotmail.com.
