London Lions added the final piece to their jigsaw as they announced the re-signing of fans favourite Lamar Roberts just days before the season is due to start.

Roberts is also a driving force off the floor and is very active in giving back to his community.

Partnering with the London Lions, he founded the Right Development Foundation in 2010 with his vision in mind of using basketball to bring communities together, to develop social action and restore relationships within families. Lion’s Head Coach, Vince Macaulay said: “I think Lamar brings real heart to our club, both on and off the floor.

“He never ceases to surprise me and I feel proud of what he has achieved.

“Lamar was our top scorer last week when we played in the Essex Classic and he finished with 23 points in under 12 minutes.”

Roberts added: “It’s great to be signing with the Lions for the third year now, with the group of guys we have I feel confident that we will have a fantastic season. We’re going after every shiny trophy the BBL has.”
