London Raiders forward Oliver Baldock was named the club’s October Player of the Month after Sunday’s 3-2 penalty shoot-out victory against Milton Keynes Thunder.

The 19-year-old picked up five goals and five assists in nine appearances for the Lee Valley-based club in the month, where they have played the likes of ex-EPL teams Basingstoke Bison, Swindon Wildcats, Peterborough Phantoms and Bracknell Bees to name a few.

The former Chelmsford Chieftains joined the club in the summer and has become an instant hit with the fans and admits he’s honoured to have bagged the award on the back of a four-point weekend for his side that included a 6-3 win against league leaders Peterborough Phantoms.

“I’m honoured to be named player of the month for October,” Baldock said.

“Being named player of the month just topped off what was already a great weekend of hockey.

“I hope to carry on and improve week on week.”
