Club sign forward from Bracknell

London Raiders have agreed terms to sign forward Brandon Miles from National League rivals Bracknell.

Miles came through the junior system at Slough, before enjoying a spell at Streatham in 2014/15.

And he had scored 24 points in 43 games with Bracknell Hornets since the start of the 2015/16 campaign, while also appearing for the Premier League Bracknell Bees.

A strong skater with a hard shot, Miles is expected to add more strength to the Raiders roster, which has been noticeably short on numbers in recent weeks.

A club statement said: “With all his new team-mates fit and available we are expecting the Raiders to be a match for any team in the league and Brandon will certainly help with those ambitions.”

The 20-year-old Miles added: “I think the move to the Raiders is right for me at this point in my playing career and a fantastic opportunity to play on an improving team.

“I hope to settle in quickly and bring a competitive edge to the line-up to help us move forward.

“It’s going to be good to meet all the boys and play again on the same team as JJ (Pitchley).

“I spoke to a few people about the move before making a decision and my uncle helped me make my mind up and guided me towards the Raiders.

“The fans normally give me a hard time when I play against them and I take this as a compliment really as I must be doing my job on the ice!

“I can’t wait to get started and hopefully I can give the fans something to cheer about and have them on my side.”
