East London’s women had to settle for a 2-2 draw with Blueharts after letting a two-goal lead slip.

A goal from Ailish Hendry and penalty flick by Renske Pesch put East on top, but it was not enough.

The seconds also drew, sharing six goals with Leighton Buzzard.

Charlotte Smith opened the scoring, only for Buzzard to get back on terms.

Suzie Aries produced an acrobatic finish to restore East’s lead, with Phoebe Simmons denying their rivals a reply before the break.

Buzzard squared matters after the restart, only for Rachel Miller to fire home from a short corner.

But East could not hold on and conceded a short corner in the closing minutes as it ended all square.

The thirds beat Wapping fourths 2-0 in their derby, thanks to goals in quick succession from Kaitlyn Barnard, who deflected in Jessica Ellery’s reverse, and Harriet Rogers.

Danielle Burnettwell was named player of the match for a tireless display.

The fourths picked up a point from a 2-2 draw with Basildon seconds, as Olivia Rafferty netted from the spot and Alice Dolton fired home from the edge of the D.

And the sixth team drew 1-1 with Havering seconds thanks to a Courtney O’Connor goal, as Georgina Box took the player of the match prize.

Tanith Cook, Hannah McDermid and Jasmine Newey netted as the sixth team beat Southend & Benfleet 3-0, but the seventh lost by the same margin to London Royals.

Catherine Senior was their player of the match, as Lizzie Jones, Danae Lopez, Lucy Benson, Chloe Louise Russell, Emilie Josephine, Ruby Beardsall, Debs White and Zoe Hawthorne earned notable mentions.

The eights were handed the points by Havering fourths, while the ninths beat Old Southendian thirds by a 4-2 margin.

Emma Duthart netted early on, with Sheena Anand also on target before the break.

And although Southendian hit back to level after the restart, Duthart and Anand added their second goals of the game to secure the points.

Harriet Boyd was named player of the match for East.
