London Raiders have announced the return of captain Tom Davis for the 2015/16 National League season.

Following hot on the heels of news of coach Alan Blyth’s return earlier this morning, the Lee Valley-based club released another statement confirming Davis would be remaining in gold and blue.

It said: “Tom will have a big role to play again this season and the management are delighted that Tom has not hesitated to return.”

Davis himself added: “I’m really excited to be returning for my sixth season with the Raiders, especially in view of some of the talks I have been having and some of the players that Alan Blyth is in discussion with.

“If all goes to plan we will be up there competing with the top teams and taking silverware.”

Davis is the first of last season’s starters to commit to another campaign and the Raiders will be hoping to add to their core group over the coming weeks.
