The Times has revealed the best universities in London as part of its Good University Guide for the year.
University College London, near Euston, was named the university of the year after it moved up one spot to sixth nationally.
Top of the list in the capital was The London School of Economics, in Holborn, which ranked fourth in the country.
Imperial College in South Kensington was named university of the year for graduate employment, and its computer sciences course was deemed the top degree for graduate salaries.
In Mile End, Queen Mary University was runner-up university of the year for social inclusion.
It was not all good news for London universities however, as University of East London in Newham finished bottom of the list.
Doctor Michael Spence, president and provost of University College London said: “Our high-achieving, curious students learn from and work alongside world-leading academics, getting directly involved in research that breaks boundaries and tackles global challenges.
“Being named The Sunday Times University of the Year is a testament to the dynamic and diverse community of students and staff who make UCL such an extraordinary place.”
