A creative college which counts some chart-topping superstars among its alumni has set up a new campus in Aldgate.
Access Creative College (ACC), formerly known as Access to Music, was first founded in 1992 and the likes of Ed Sheeran, Rita Ora and Jess Glynne have attended it.
It has 25 campuses nationwide, most recently coming to Aldgate.
Nathan Loughran, Director of Campus at ACC, is passionate about the location, describing it as “vibrant and exciting […] a hub for the creative industry and education in general”.
Mr Loughran said ACC “want to place particular focus on local areas experiencing deprivation and to help offer them opportunities they may not have previously been offered”.
The creative college positions itself vocationally, providing its students with a broad remit in which they can gain valuable life skills as well as discover their talents.
The college has stated it is “uniquely positioned as a force to influence both the future of young creatives going into the industry but also to influence and shape the future of the creative and technology industries as a whole”.
Mr Loughran described this as their “vision”.
ACC offers its students access to state of the art technology and equipment to cover all bases, from music through to gaming.
The college also has multiple partnerships with various industry leading employers and organisations.
